To byłaby wielka strata i wielki żal.
Mimo to nadal będą istniały wspaniałe krajobrazy gór, fiordów i dolin.
The Westjfords of Iceland
Iceland has been discovered. This island in the North Atlantic has become a place to visit, by tourists from all over the world. This little country is big within. There are still places where few people go to. Places worth visiting. The Westfjords are aside the mainstream. There is still room for people there, both for inhabitants and for visitors.
I myself come from the flat agricultural areas of the South country. The Westfjords appeal better to my aesthetic sences. Therefore I moved to there. I also moved to there because of a rich cultural life in a society with comfortably few and friendly people. The low population is actually a threat to the society. People are moving away. Some time it could happen that there are too few inhabitants to be able to carry the infrastructure, causing a collapse of the society. That would be a big loss and a great regret.
Still, there would continue to exist the magnificent landscapes of mountains, fjords and valleys. Still there would be wild animals and plants, thriving in the mildness and harshness, close to the Polar circle, on this oldest part of Icelandic earth, carved with ice age glaciers, on this piece of land furthermost to the west in total Europe.
